'Paint Ventura' event

The "Paint Ventura" Fair on Sunday was presented by Red Brick Gallery in Downtown Ventura and it was the last day of a 3-day event. It started out with a slow morning but then picked up towards the end of the event day. Many many thanks to my last customer who had purchased 4 ties, 2 for her wardrobe and the others for gifts. "Handmade Galleries" Trunk Show

This past Saturday I had a Trunk Show at Handmade Galleries on Ventura Blvd.. the store where I have my neckties displayed for sale. I think due to Carmagedon going on in LA on the 405 Fwy, there was not as many people shopping as they would have on the weekends. Overall, I got great feedbacks from a couple of curious faces, so .......ROCK ON!!!!! :)

A la Jean-Paul Gaultier

 More than fashion, I love the images that get created through the styling of a look, accessories, background and props. It all comes together so beautifully to give us a stunning image.
For this shoot, my inspiration was my ultimate favorite designer Jean-Paul Gaultier, especially his unusually creative hats. Now I know you're probably asking yourself ...WOW!! I should model....but no, I will leave that to the experts....haha (I crack myself up sometimes). I just like to create things and images. I find inspiration everywhere I look and I always enjoy putting it to work.
The "dress" I'm wearing, is not an actual dress, it's just a loooooooong piece of black fabric draped over. A BIG thank you to my assistant Nancy! :) Hope you enjoy the look!!! :)

Makin' it happen at the Rose Bowl Flea Market!

After much anticipation, the BIG DAY finally came. The week prior to the event, I felt like I was getting ready for an exam in school. Definitely brought back all those funky feelings! AH! But the event turned out good. Given people's feedback that stopped and chatted by the booth, the day was a SUCCESS!!! Thank you to my wonderful friends that were there for me and helped me throughout the day! I love you and I'm extremly thankful for having you in my life! Cheers!
